How OEM & ODM Football Manufacturing Works

Product customization concept. Final configuration is subject to sample approval.

Turn an idea into a product brief.

Start by describing the intended buyer, use and target market. Choose the ball type and size, estimate the quantity, and explain any material or quality priorities. Share references that show the preferred visual direction. The more clearly these points are defined, the more useful the initial product discussion becomes.

An OEM project can begin with an existing design and confirmed specification. An ODM discussion may start earlier, with product selection, construction and material recommendations.

Confirm the construction and artwork.

Review the proposed cover material, panel structure, bladder and manufacturing route. Logo placement, colors, graphics and packing should be considered alongside the physical product. A design that works on a flat page must also be reviewed on the chosen ball construction.

When special tooling or a new panel structure is involved, technical feasibility and development requirements need to be discussed before production is planned.

Use sampling to resolve the details.

A sample gives the buyer a physical reference for appearance, material and construction. Compare it with the agreed brief and record the points that are accepted or need adjustment. Confirm which color, graphic and specification version is being reviewed.

Sample arrangements, fees and timing depend on the project. These should be confirmed with the manufacturer rather than assumed from a general catalogue description.

Move from approval to production.

Once the relevant requirements are approved, the agreed design and specification become the production reference. Materials are prepared, panels are processed, graphics are applied and the selected assembly method is used. Inspection continues through production and finished-product review.

Packing and shipment preparation follow the agreed order requirements. Product photos, video or updates can support communication where appropriate. After delivery, keep feedback connected to the original specification so that any future changes are clear.

Bring your specification to the conversation. Our team can discuss construction, materials, artwork and sampling for your project.
